The new @Creality3dP Sermoon P1 just arrived for hands-on testing. Teddy already completed the mandatory sniff test 🐾 and seems cautiously optimistic.

Finally completed the 3D Printed Shoes guide. Did some hands-on testing, talked to people wearing them, and explored both fully printed footwear and hybrid lattice designs. While the Revopoint POP 4 campaign has already broken past the $1M mark, I’ve received both the POP 4 and Metro Y Ultra for hands-on testing. Teddy, as usual, gave the packages a few barks and sniffs before approving them. Testing starts soon. Feel free to ask if you want any specific test, comparison, or scan example.

Sorry, bad wording. Around ten years ago, 3D Hubs was a platform where anyone with a 3D printer could register, set up their own workshop, and offer 3D printing services. It was quite a big thing in the maker community at the time.

Finally, the weather cooperated, and we had a great day out with Teddy, and we gave PollyFab’s Airpuff One Pro 3D printed shoes a proper test along the way.

Hi Rubio, thanks for sharing the story, it’s a solid example of how 3D printing can help bring a product to market quickly and on a tight budget. The book you mentioned might be a useful resource as well. I tend to trust publications that have 3D Hubs involved, it was a solid platform back in the day. In fact, shylastylez was registered there in the early days, and we’ve already reviewed one of their books.

Hi Mark, 1400 hours is quite a run already. Good to hear you’re getting great prints out of it. Hopefully, the replacement parts sort things out long term. As far as I know, Will had this machine for evaluation, but I’m not sure if he continued using it beyond testing. It would be interesting to hear how others are getting on with it, too.

Hi Henry, thank you for sharing your experience. That does sound frustrating, especially with both assembly issues and the broken acrylic part. I will ask my EiBOS contact about it and see whether a replacement part or another solution is available.

New PollyFab 3D printed shoes just arrived. Unfortunately, our Chief Inspector Teddy is currently on light duty after surgery… but still insisted on supervising the unboxing 🐶 These are Airpuff One Pro (Orange) and Airpuff One.

It’s here. Snapmaker U1 has officially landed. Chief Inspector Teddy 🐾 has already approved the delivery. Update: Snapmaker U1 3D Printer: Hands-On Testing with Multicolor Print Examples I thoroughly tested U1. Apart from the included models, I also printed a bunch of miniatures for keychains from 3D scans. Scaled-down DeathRacer and RC Boats miniatures printed surprisingly well. Great printer for this kind of work. Share your prints with us!

Update: It is probably an anti-record, as I have been building this since April 2025, but there has been some progress. Electronics left 😅 Update: First test of the freshly built DeathRacer. Finally running in the wild. The gears need a little fine-tuning, but I’m very pleased with the result. Getting ready for @SamPrentice’s DeathRacers show at @The_SMF_ #SMRRF #3DPrinting DeathRacer shylastylez 720.mp4 Update: Just in case my DeathRacer gets destroyed 😬 at #SMRRF, I decided to preserve it in 3D. Maybe even as a keychain. Einstar Rockit did a great job.
